Google has implemented statistical data called Google Trends for websites. Google trends is said to be a fun tool that gives you a view of how popular your favourite websites are, including sites that have been developed by yourself. When using the tool it doesn't give you all the sites.

Google Trends will not display the sites that meet the following criteria:

*  Websites with low traffic
*  Websites that don't wish to be indexed by Google and have indicated their      preference     through a * *  robots.txt exclusion file
*  Websites that don't adhere to our Quality Guidelines
* Other websites for miscellaneous reasons

The Google Trends tool is basically for websites that are generating high volume of users and not a good tool for websites that are just starting out.
